Pugad Lawin
It is originally referred as the Cry of Balintawak. August 23 was the beginning of the Philippine Revolution against Spanish rule. Originally the term "Cry" referred to the first skirmish between the Katipuneros and the Civil Guards. (Guardia Civil).
To prove their loyalty and unity, members of the katipunan secret society led by Andres Bonifacio rose up in revolt and started tearing the cedulas by the rebels and shouted “Mabuhay ang Pilipinas” (“long Live the Philippines”) all at the same time. It is also a mark of their separation from the Spaniards.
To show respect to the katipuneros and Andres Bonifacio a Memorial Monument where the Cry has its own shrine was built for them located along the Seminary Road, in Barangay Bahay Toro in Quezon City. A lot of people don’t know that this kind of memorial exists. Here you can see the statue of the katipuneros, Andres Bonifacio and the Brains of Katipunan, Emilio Jacinto. If you’re a historical kind of person I higly recommend this place this site is open for the public so the people can go and visit the place for free.
