The Richness of La Loma

Picture
Aling Mila's, Nelia's, Ping-ping's, Mang Tomas. What comes to mind when you hear these very prominent names? Succulent, tasty, juicy, golden, crisp...lechon. For more than 50 years, residents of this community have been staging, Parada ng mga Lechon. In April every year, the roasted pigs are adorned and in the spirit of merrymaking, take a route around the participating barangays. These parades are filled with fun and joined in by the store keepers, roasters and the community in general. This is capped by a feast of lechon as much as can be eaten and a round of other events to highlight the beloved lechon.
